SelfChecker was recently showcased on ShawTV’s Cutting Edge news segment. Staff and students from St. Gabriel Storefront School in St. Albert, Canada were shown using and talking about SelfChecker and discussing how it is bettering education in their learning environment. Check out the video:

Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) has showcased Snap Fin Ventures, the developer of SelfChecker, as the third Edmonton Research Park (ERP) Featured Innovator. The Featured Innovator program highlights ERP tenants making waves in advanced technology fields.
We recently recorded an overview video of SelfChecker. The video shows how teachers are able to create self checks, have students work on the self checks, and allow teachers to review the results. Here is the video clip:

Concerning online self checking, Dr. Shank writes:
“Studies show that these types of activities help learners keep tabs on their progress and adjust their efforts, know when to seek help, and stay on track. These outcomes are especially important in online courses.”

I’ll be demoing SelfChecker at DemoCamp Edmonton 9 on November 19th at the University of Alberta, ETLC Room E1-017.
